Will someone ever build and dedicate something as amazing as the Taj Mahal to me???? And I don't have to have fourteen kids and die while popping out the last one in order for it to happen????
Had another early morning today --- left the hotel in our tuk tuks at 5:45AM so we could see the sun rise over the Taj Mahal. MAN, is it something. It's so beautiful that it's overwhelming and photos truly don't do it justice. We are going to another landmark, the "Baby Taj," this evening so we can see the sun set over the "Big Taj" from the other side of the river. I'm sure that will be equally amazing.
Went to a special marble inlay shop today and I made my first real purchase since I've been on the trip . . . a gorgeous marble backgammon board and the men are set with perfect little flowers made out of semi-precious stones. I'm having it shipped so I don't have to pack it. I'm sure if I attempted to load something else on Raz (the Drago truck) they would shoot me.
We leave for Jaipur tomorrow, this leg is over in just a few days!!! Hard to believe, as time as been ripping by. Will be happy to see a couple of the folks who are leaving in New Delhi leave. We pick up five new people, so will be interesting to see what's added to the group.
WHEN or ARE you ever going to be able to post any pictures? It sounds sooooo amazing!
